What is Box score?
A box score is a table that summarizes a basketball game: every player's minutes, points, rebounds, assists and other counted stats, plus the team totals and the score by quarter.
Example
A player line of 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in 31 minutes tells you what that player did in the game without watching it.
Why it matters in a league
In a league, the box score is the official record. It settles who scored, who played and what the final stat lines were, and season leaders are built by adding box scores together.
